Hi all
Need some advise coz i have burned in my 650 for 350 hours and i am still not happy with the overall sound. Pairing it with Alo International. Wonder if I should continue with the burning in or just sell it

Sell it. Its sound profile probably doesn't suit you. It happens to everyone, sooner or later, with some HPs.
350 hours? Really?

Okaay..didnt see that coming that soon.lol
Just cant imagine why its so "overrated" or is it just me..
Do you have the ability to audition any other amps? The only reason I'm saying this is because I didn't love the HD650 with my ALO RX Mk3B, but moving to other amps is when I fell in love with my headphones. I think it was the ALO sound with the HD650 that was a turn off for me.
Or, as others have already said, maybe the HD650 ain't your cup o' tea. And that's fine too...
Nah, I'm just suggesting, long "burn-in" isn't all important for many HPs, especially for so many hundreds of hrs.
Many excellent floor speakers don't need hundreds of hrs of burn-in to sound optimal. So why would tiny HP drivers?
cheers
I was using LD MkIV SE.. I still feel its lacking in some areas..particularly the treble which most people regarded it as a myth..you know what I am talking about
If you like treble (when it's there in the recording, not boosted), do a PS500. I have one, and love it. Tiny touch of warmth (relative to other Grados), but very detailed and very musical with rock, jazz, vocals, and small chamber. Acoustics too. SR225i too. Some say the HE560 is a bit trebly; personally, I don't hear it, and love it for its overall balanced tonality and imaging. Pricier than 650, though. Just my 2 cents.
