The DT150 has the 650's signature in the midrange, deeper bass and a touch cleaner treble. It is ugly and utilitarian, but if you do not plan to use it outdoors, it is exactly what you seek.

I know this question has came up but is there a closed back,at any price that sounds like the 650. I absolutely love the 650 but need a can that doesn't leak much sound out.

I am evaluating the Sennheiser Momentum 2 over war version right now. Even though it does not mimic the HD 650 completely, it is a very nice closed option that HD650 lovers should look into.

I'm not sure how I can use aluminum boxes as capacitors..

they don't look they will have a sound signature of the HD-650 in a closed back with something as adjustable bass?  sounds more like a custom 1 pro competitor.  Other thing is the cable has a mic/controller on it so I would assume its for portable use, may be a high end Urbanite type, just my guess.

There is a review already in a German print media Steteoplay. They quote Axel Grell sais that they are truly high end. And they state that they are rather large, which means, they are not too portable. So maybe they fit my ears.
