I'm going to have to get me some soon I think. I have had enough with my Grado RS1. My buddy has a pair of them that I got to try out for a bit. I currently have a Cary cad 300sei with a sweet headphone amp that I love. The Grados just seem airy to me  over all. Acoustic music... front row center, but over all does not have the same weight and body like the 650 have. Oh did I mention how smooth they sound too. Such a great buy. Making my purchase soon.

Well, that's amusing. I have just taken delivery of the RS1i, being already an owner of the HD650 and the HD800. Motive? The Grado sound for what it's good at - PRAT and fun. Working with portables and straight out of a laptop is also an advantage...

Electronics Expo is good and comes with warranty. They are an authorized dealer for sure. It is $40 cheaper, if anyone cares.

I contacted Sennheiser to see if they would honor Amazon Warehouse Deals with a warranty.

Some things on that page are good deals while others are not.

I use the SLAPPA HardBody PRO Headphone case.  I do prefer taking the cable off the headphone when using this.  Its a bit snug when leaving the cable connected...

Good choice.

I have one and it fits my HD600's like a glove, is well made and feels like it should offer good protection...although I've not put that aspect to the test much!

I received my Slappa today and all I can say is... Good Choice! It fits the 650's like a glove. Now I have a decent case for all my headphones.

Thanks very much for all the help & advice.

I'm curious as to what you all use to amp your HD650s.  I like tubes, and I'm looking getting some 650s (or 600s...still need to do some more auditioning) in the near future.

What do you guys use, and what has worked well?  The three I've looked at in my budget are the WA3, WA6, and Valhalla.  Anyone have experience with these and the 650s?

EDIT: I would also consider the Bottlehead Crack + Speedball, though I have no experience in DIY.
