So you've bought them then?

nah, wondering if anyone here has got them cheaper, and maybe I'll help someone get a cheap pair that's been looking at this thread.

That is a bargain!

Hopefully someone buys it because it's been there for a few days, pretty surprising. It's really bothering me because I want this but I have to wait. I'm probably getting really annoying now. Looking at price chart and the headphone actually goes for $300 a lot. HD600, around $300 as well (Warehouse).

Welcome to my World! I rarely catch a bargain. The best I can claim is that I at least have done plenty of research before buying.

I brought my HD650's from a Amazon UK Warehouse Deals a couple of years back I think it was for £199. When they arrived the silver box which has the foam lining had seen better days with a stain on top and one corner of its lid was split however the HD650's inside where brand new.

It is really hard to find any sort of deal in Canada.  Hell, even the Q701 which has had a price drop to $200 is still $310-350 regular in Canada.

Combine that with a lot of forum members that will only ship to Conus :p

Because shipping to Canada is expensive plus as much as i understand Fedex is the only advisable carrier so that you could avoid brocker fees

Very little, at least outside of Vancouver or Toronto.  From what I've seen, Vancouver has a pretty active and decent Hi-Fi scene.  But where I am, I have no option to go and 'try before you buy'.

Haven't dealt with Fedex too much, but they can ding you too.  UPS is by far the worst.  USPS is typically the best option.

I purchase a lot of items directly from the US with no problems.

I've purchased a lot of items direct from US too without problems.  I'm referring to trying to get a deal in Canada itself.

Sites like Amazon.com won't ship to Canada, so any sales, etc. they have do us no good.  Compare the prices on Amazon.ca to Amazon.com and it is robbery.
