I mean, where's the line man. There's got to be a line somewhere..So I don't suppose you'd be able to listen to these headphones either :

I would say the 650 does everything better, especially making music enjoyable to listen to.Would you guys say there’s anything the HD650 does better than the LCD–2 given a very low budget for amplifying either?

Hi,
I am wondering if i can use the E1 (original) with an iphone 8, will the apple camera kit (lightning to usb female) do the trick?

Any recommandation between the deconi pads on massdrop ? How perform shipskin (fenestred or not) or the velour one ?
I don't find the hd6xx very confortable ... The contact point of the pads are too little thin/narrow and the clamping a little bit too strong ...
Well the sound is good, but miss some low bass and sometimes a little too bright/agressive for my taste

You can reduce the clamping force by bending the metal sliders very carefully.Any recommandation between the deconi pads on massdrop ? How perform shipskin (fenestred or not) or the velour one ?

If you find the HD650/6XX too bright/aggressive you seem to be very sensitive to treble since the HD650/6XX is rolled of in the treble or what some mistakenly call "veiled" The HD650/6XX is not known for low bass, if you want low bass you might have to look elsewhere.

@gug42 find it funny you own the dt990 but find the 650 bright. Funny how differently we hear things

I think the bass region of the LCD-2 blows the HD650 out of the water but to each their own. The 650 however has a slightly more natural tone to it IMO.

a Lohb strap and clamp relief is a must for LCD-2's. It's a cheap fix but still annoying considering how much they cost.Like @castleofargh I'd have to also agree that the weight issue of the LCD-2 (any LCD series really) is one reason that my GF and most of her friends consider it a failure, what good is the best sounding headphone if you can't enjoy it if its too heavy, keeps falling off or shifting/moving every time you move your head?
There is one sound item that to me the HD650 does better than my LCD-2f, the smoothness of the mids to relax me no matter the genre that is used.
With the LCD-2 you should also mention which version since they sound different from 2.1/2.2 > 2014 Fazor > 2016 Fazor

Thank you. I will try this
Yeah i know that's why i buy it on massdrop
Not listing it any more ... I will retry it.
Well my "reference" is the lcd-x but cant own it
Thx you
I tried the Lohb strap that a friend has on his LCD-3 but even then its a bit heavy and will start to slide of my head if I look down and will start to slide if I lean back my recliner sofa to a comfortable listening position. I also have this problem to a lesser extent with TH-600. The HD650 is one of the more comfortable headphones along with the HD700 and SRH-1840.a Lohb strap and clamp relief is a must for LCD-2's. Hi,
Before I get the Mojo dac amp in order to listening my HD650 into a secondary room only with iPhone and tidal as source, I wondering, there is an headphone in the sane price of the Mojo (500/600 eu) with a very high sensitivity that I can just plug to the iPhone and that sounds heavenly as the HD650?
Ps: i tried all the momentums and they sound worse than HD650 even without amps
