Hay! I have all 3, heh.

No amp here though... still being built.

I don't really see many people around that have the Musical Fidelity X-CAN headphone amp, I thought they were more popular. I think that's the direction I'm gonna go if the ASL doesn't work out for me.

See sig.

I prefer the HD600 over the HD650.

meridian g08 > tara labs air 1 interconnect > single power supra > black dragon senn cable > hd650

tube amps are the real way to go if you enjoy a warm and detailed sound signature with large sound stage. the amp was the most worthwhile upgrade, it really opened up the soundstage, brought in more detail, faster response, and added much more air. then the next most noticeable upgrade was with the interconnect. it did the same thing, except for the tone being slightly brighter.

i prefer the moon audio black dragon over the equinox version 1 cable. for a more lively listen and more realistic bass. without killing the tone (example: silver dragon, zu; which i've tried before). don't know how version 2 equinox sounds, would love to one day, but my next upgrade (and last, to complete the system) would be power cables.

btw, i'm rating this on how dollars should be spent, not only on sq.

May I just say, 'Wow.'

My new 650s have been calmly kicking my arse for the past few days now. I was listening to an album earlier and only after 80 minutes[Live album] did I realise the EQ was off.

I've read enough posts to know that others like this combination, but I've heard a modded X-Can3 and X-Can2 and was only impressed by what you get for the price, not for what they offer in terms of real sq. They're okay, don't get me wrong, but I think you're much better saving a little money and getting something better. Can you get to a meet somewhere? That's really your best bet.

EDIT: I just saw a Canamp for a great price on the FS forum. I far preferred this to the X-Can.
