I've just recently bought a pair of used Sennheisers and now im having some very annoying issues concerning the balance of the headphones themselves. the right channel is completely gone but both sides are still playing the left channel... its really odd and very frustrating. ive checked over the insides and they seem to be fine by my limited estimation. please any help would be very much appreciated.

I've had a similar problem but it was due to the headphone jack on the source being bent.

no its not that ive tried connecting different headphones and speakers to the jack and the channels work just fine

You might need to send them in for a warranty repair.  Or, if you want to take on the repair yourself, there is a junction connector inside the left ear-cup where the wires split from the incoming cable and then a pair of wires gets routed through the headband over to the right cup.  There could be some issues with connections on that junction connection.  Just a thought ...

ive looked into that an there doesnt appear to be anything wrong with the wiring there. is there any info on the little board they split though?

thanks for trying guys but ive figured it out. the adapter was a cheap long cabled adapter and the wires had frayed bought a straight cordless. closed this thread and launch it to the sea for passage into the thread underworld.
