Hello :dt880smile:

I currently own the HD280 PRO that i bougth for 70$.

I was thinkink about returning them for and replacing them for the sony mdr-7506. - cost 100$

Should i doit or keep the sennheiser?

What i liked about HD280 PROs.

- price/performance
- avaibility
- the cable
- adapter included
- sound quality for price
- isolation
- light easy to carry around or in my bag
- good build quality
- high quality plastic

What i didnt like about the HD280 PROs.

- fake leather earpads and headband
- too much BASS
- comfort
- no bag for the heaphones
- clamps too tightly on my head

Should i switch to the SONYs or keep the HD280 PRO or any other headphone recomendations.

I have both. HD280PRO clamp force is indeed intense and looks wise they are a bit cheesy. If you find a good deal, go for the Sony 7506/V6.

They’re not going to be substantially different in sound and build. The clamping force is more reasonable and the Sony house style is pretty good.

Prior to switching and if you have access to a decent EQ, try https://autoeq.app on your headphones. This may resolve some of the bass issues on your HD280s and may even cause you to reconsider.

Other options may exist depending on your price point and use case.

Sony MDR 7506 with Brainwav pads really good for the money. Fairly linear bass and you just need to tame down the 5-7 KHz region to align more with Harman Curve and get a pretty neutral sound
