I’m glad the earcups are noticeably larger on the 660s2. I gave the 650 a try last December in the store and didn’t like the small earcups. Was worried the 660s2 would have the same size cups but they’re much larger.

Cup size is the same for HD600 series. Store demo probably had squished ear pads.
On a side note, enjoying 660s2 tuning way more than I thought I would. Bass is significantly better compared to HD600. Now I'm curious if its the tuning preference or the wrong and degraded pads on HD600.
I ve heard the hd660s2 at can jam Singapore and for me it's obviously superior to hd650 after comparing them side by side. I may get one to add to my HP collection.

Oh okay. Well either way the 660s2 are 10/10 for comfort. Even right out of the box, there was very little clamping force on my head compared to say the Momentum 3 which I had to use for a week for it to break in first before they were comfoy.
the s2 is fantastic. the bass is very clean and strong on the k7. comfort is still a 7 out of 10 but it is getting better the more use them. it is my first sennheiser since the ie90 so i think i did good
Loving these S2's. Today it was BF2 to Valhalla 2 to the S2's. The last week or two I have been playing some Lo-Fi music which did not sound great in my system through the Arya's.
But today, with the S2's, it was wonderful!
I bought this album from No Money Kids, their last full album from 2022 (Deluxe version):
And a few singles from 2024:
And I should also mention that just before this I was listening to new Black Keys (Ohio Players). They do go Very nicely together!

Earcups are Exactly the same on 58X,6XX,580,600,650,660s,660s2 i am 100% sure about that , i have them in front of me All Earpads and parts fit to each other.
Maybe u are saying about the Hybrid Earpads ? Because ear pads i know that they had 3 different versions of them over the years , The Last Change was at 2022 for all new Sennheiser HD 6 line ( I dont know about 6XX , 58xx i dont have the newer versions) .
New pads have Clear Ring and not Black , also they are more rounded and deeper ... foam has also changed ( i had make some posts and share photos showing them and the foam inside ) The Hybrid materials outside Velur and inside wall artificial leather is exactly the same also. Sound does change a bit , but not in a way that most people will care about .
Nope , everything is exactly the shame , HD 650 must have the older Black ring pads that have thicker and Shorter walls, New pads have thinner and taller wall.
Yeah they are for sure larger than Momentum , they are close to HD5 series .. 598 for example they was a bit larger on width , years ago i tried to make HD6XX Angled like HD5 line , i destroyed HD599 plastics to put HD6 driver there , i use both pads i use some brainwavz pads , nothing worked . After months i discover that was some Angled 3D printed adapters for HD 6 line and we can use the stock pads , I tried it Soundstage open up , loudness was way lower and something was really wrong they lost their character . So i stopped trying to fix something that doesnt need fixing . Its that thing in this hobby that u want more and more and at the end of the day u fix something and u destroy something else.
Be careful with that after marker cables , pins 90% of the times are thicker and taller than stock ones and the inner connection is destroyed when u take in and out a lot of times.
