I've compared them 2-3 times in different threads, search should turn them up.  Look at Tdockweiller's thread and a few others should turn up.  555/595/558/598, etc.

I love my 598, and trying my best not to have a crack. When I take off the hp, I hold the headband part not the phone as I did with other hps. It ridiculous, but better safe than sorry I thought.

it 60$ for any kind of repair for the 500 series. take a look at the repair form in their site..

Also try to expand the headphones ONLY by the main band, you need to keep pressure off the parts that break.

OR

Buy HD600/650's (depending on your tastes)
