Hi. Im going to buy either the sennheiser 518 or 558. I have the money for the 558 but is it worth it? I tried both headphones and was very pleased but i couldnt compare them because they were at different stores. How do the monentum compare to these?

Curiosity: Do you understand the difference between open and closed back headphones?... what would be the intended use? Open to other options?

If you're not in a hurry I will suggest to get the Jaycar (for less than 80$) detachable cable, and good sound.

HD558 is a great choice, or consider the open-back audio-technica headphones within your budget.  Grado SR225i if you want to try the Grado sound, although you probably won't enjoy it with movies as much as something like HD558.

How does the 558 compare to the m50? Those are pretty famous around here
