Hi. Im going to buy either the sennheiser 518 or 558. I have the money for the 558 but is it worth it? I tried both headphones and was very pleased but i couldnt compare them because they were at different stores. How do the monentum compare to these?

Unfortunately there are no all-in-one solutions. I will just post some popular closed back headphones between head-fiers

http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-770-PRO-80-ohms/dp/B0016MNAAI

If you're not in a hurry I will suggest to get the Jaycar (for less than 80$) detachable cable, and good sound.

HD558 is a great choice, or consider the open-back audio-technica headphones within your budget.  Grado SR225i if you want to try the Grado sound, although you probably won't enjoy it with movies as much as something like HD558.
