Hi.

So, back in June, I bought myself a pair of Dr. Dre Studios new in box off ebay for $150 USD, because I really wanted a pair, out of change from my usally skullcandy in ear buds that i get for 20$. So I used them for 2 months and loved them ALOT. But in august on my redeye from LA to Boston, I folded them up and put them in the carrying case, and on the top of my string back while i was getting off the plane. This creaper who was sitting a few rows back from me kept looking at me, in such an odd way. When I went to baggage claim, I felt a tug on the string back, looked back and saw the creaper run out the door and into a taxi and drive away w/ my beats

. I tried contacting security, but they couldn't do much at all.

Somehow i found this site, how? I don't remember, And did some research and came across the Sennheiser 205 II. From the pictures and youtube reviews they seam like a good pair of headphones, (for 40$ too). I care alot about the way headphones look, i feel that some of the other Sennheiser headphones are kinda ugly (main reason why i got the beats).

The only thing i am going to use them for is my iPod, which i do use alot. What do you guys think of them? Should i go for them or get a new pair of beats?

Thanks.

Go for the sennhesisers if you want affordability and sound quality

Go for the beats if you want to look cool and noise cancellation

From your post, I think you want the beats and are trying to get others to convince you to justify the money that you will spend on them

Well you won't find that here, almost everyone at head-fi hates on the beats

I'm leaning more toards sennheisers just because I really don't want to spend the money.

Do you happen to know if they have a detachable cord?

And why does everybody hate the beats besides the part they are a bit over priced?

The HD 205 do not come with a detachable cable. If you prefer cans with detachable cable, you may want to consider HD 215.

i have the HD205, not sure if it's the II or the regular one though. anyway, i hate them. they have got to be the worst headphone i have heard in a looooong time. i much prefer the HD280pro over them.
