my old sennheiser HD 485 are getting uncomfortable for some reason, never were awesome in that area. got some HD 419s and they feel about the same. feel like the earcup is too small. would the hd518 be better? another brand maybe? really like the sound of my sennheiser but comfort is important in my old age .

Do you have a special preference, open/closed back headphones? max budget?

can't be super loud from the outside, under 100 bucks. I'm beginning to think I should use on ear headphones.

edit:
after getting home and testing the 419s with my 485s the 485s sound a lot better on my computer (xonar dg set to 32-64ohm). Gonna keep the 485s for a while until I can actually try on some headphones at a store.
