Where have you been reading the impressions?

Have you read everything in this forum, plus the comments at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/seiun-players-hi-res-audio-meets-4k-video/x/13235248#/comments ? Some people have said that they are satisfied, since it cost them only $30......to me, this is not a great endorsement. Several people have mentioned the hiss problem plus other complaints. I, personally, cannot verify these problems since I haven't, as yet, received the unit. One thing I can verify is that its nearing the end of Feb, and the unit was promised by January......I can overlook this if it meant that all the bugs were ironed out...however, this doesn't seem to be the case. All I'm doing is giving my impressions of what others have reported.

This thing has not impressed me so far.  Loaded around 90 gigs of music on a microsd card.  Hit play,  10 second delay, then crashes.  Try to select an individual song, crashes after 10 seconds.

Did you format the card in the Player? saw a comment on above linked IGG to that effect... also needs to be named  SEIUN II or something.

Also have you checked for the possibility of a "Repeat Intro" setting on the Player.  Some other players have this setting and will play 10 seconds of a song and then go to another song for 10 seconds, and so on.....

Yeah.  It doesn't even recognize the card unless you format it in there.    I stuck a few albums on the supplied 16 gb card, and they seem to work.  However, no shuffle all??

Still don't know why it crashes.

Slight update.  I stuck my phone microsd in it that already had a music folder, and it works fine, but I only had a fraction of the files in it.  So I'm not sure if there is a maximum files that I hit or what. It's also a 64 gb instead of a 128.

I'm really hoping cyberdrive comes out with a firmware update that addresses the lack of shuffle all, because that is literally all of how I listen to music at the gym.

There is a "Shuffle All" icon in the settings, but I don't see an option to shuffle within a folder.  Overall, the software on this thing is embarrassingly minimalist.  No seeking?  At ALL?  There goes any chance of it being useful for the long spoken word recordings I loaded on there. :(

For me, the "shuffle" option only shuffles within a folder.  Or how are you starting the music playback?  I have to drill down, and select a folder, then a track, then it'll start, unless it crashes.

If they are smart it will be for MQA

Get on that train and the world's your oyster. If the implementation is right June would be fine. We all have the 4 year old in us screaming I want it NOW.. but for an IDGG gamble it's been going ok so far.

Caig deoxit, all connections, I will keep repeating this as it's so good.

Use Caig for better sound. Contact cleaner... 8^)
Keep smiling

Seems like CD changed the DAC for the PHA from a ESS 9018S to a pair of the 9018K2M.
