2. My HF Reviews
3. Amazon Profile/Reviews

I have an affinity for IEMs and I enjoy ear canal style earphones.
I've never been able to wear P180 style earphones for more than a few minutes. I find them too uncomfortable, and especially so in my right ear.
I try to make my reviews as positive, upbeat and as entertaining as possible. I try to focus any criticism I may have in a constructive manner.
I use my Fiio X1 daily for both flac and mp3 files. I find it to be an excellent source for evaluating earphones. I am also waiting on the delivery of a new XDUOO X3, hopefully within the next 7 days.
I enjoy a wide variety of music genres, from country to classical and retro to trance. Lately, I've started trying to use binaural entrainment to induce more restful sleep states.
I am of the opinion that most dynamic earphones should be "burned-in" to achieve an optimum sound signature. The jury is still out on BA phones, but as a general rule, electromechanical devices must be broken-in before a "normal" range of operating characteristics is established.

I would appreciate your consideration as a reviewer of Edifier IEMs. I agree to all terms and conditions.

Regards,
Judge Buff

Hi I'm located in Lawrenceville, Georgia

While i'm new to head-fi if you gave me a chance I assure you I would write a fair review of one of your products.

I would love to review any of your products except the P-180's as I'm afraid my ears are too small.

I accept all of the terms and conditions

I have my own little place where I'm know as 'Rabbit.' It's called DIY Audio Heaven. Small but perfectly formed for runaround headphones.

I currently have an h850 and wouldn't mind comparing/contrasting the 840 with them.

The H850 was a bargain for the quality of sound. What can you guys make for more money? :p

Edit: realised that this is the other thread .... Sill, Edifier will see it I guess.

I have a couple of sources that I can use, such as the Fiio E07K, and Objective 2 Amp.
I wouldn't mind reviewing anything but the P180s (my ears don't bode well with ear pod styled earbuds/ IEMs). I appreciate the opportunity to review, and hope to be of help!

The Edifier h850 is a 'copy' of a design tuned by a musician called Phil Jones. The 'real' one has better components inside and better matching and is one that I have seen used by people on live mixing desks. However, both were 'tuned' by Phil Jones to produce a headphone capable of resolving a clear bass in particular. (He's a bass player)

The h850 is a cheaper copy, but pretty good nevertheless. The PJB version is well regarded amongst the pro guys that I've worked with, although they don't regard themselves as pure audiophiles. They are used for performing into and live 'pit' work and are particularly good at 'resolving' bass pretty well.

Hi fi type headphones work OK in a pit, but if the mix gets complex, they can sound muddy and compressed, where the 850s sound pretty good for clarity. Very important in live pit work. That also means that they have to be worn for two to three hour periods.

They are aimed at bass players for practising and monitoring although I have seen them on live desks.

The P180 looks interesting. Will it be available in a version without the mic and remote?

Thank you all for your submissions and questions. We are genuinely appreciative of the interest everyone has in Edifier. Just to inform everyone again, we are seeking for reviewers in USA only at this time. If we are able to open up to those in Canada or international, we will let you know. Review requests are still open at this time. I will be reaching out to those that have submitted  a post later today so check your inboxes. Thanks again everyone.

Are the p180`s any different from the h180`s? All I can see is the added remote functionality, if there are any sound changes, I`d love to know.

Giving them a listen, I can say that the H180s have a similar sound quality as the P180 earphones.

The P180 looks interesting. Will it be available in a version without the mic and remote?

The H180 earphones, which are our P180 earphones without the remote, will be released in North America before the end of the year. I cannot give a specific date as of now, however, we are expecting them to arrive mid-December.

Hi--

1) Your Location(city ,country )

I am in Nebraska, in the USA

2) Links to previous reviews you have posted either on head-fi or another forum or website
Here is a link to my Amazon review page - don't know if it will work, but will give it a try:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-reviews/?ie=UTF8&ref_=ya_your_reviews&sort_by=MostRecentReview
Most of those Amazon reviews are pretty short, but I would give a longer review for a product that had been sent to me for the purpose.

Here is a substantial review from a different sort of forum - I am the original poster, "Koyote":

About me: I am a fairly recent head-fi enthusiast, but already have several pair of IEMs and some headphones at different price points. Would love to review something from Edifier!

Thanks for offering this and for your consideration.
