Sorry for the wait. Nope, it was just a plain old power strip. Although it is one of my mroe favorites. Lots less fiddly wiring inside.

As a result of listening to Kevins ESP/7 'stats I have acquired an ESP/9 and I'm enjoying them immensely

I also bought some Isodynamic drivers and a Lathe to make phones with. Going to be a fun time.

Okay guys, here are some pics of the inside of my headphone amp. bhjazz you suggested perhaps this was the place to start modding instead of my cdp so any thought from you, audiocats or anyone else??? Looking to tame the top end which may be due to my ears or just personal preference.

Ever thought of sending the amp back to Headroom to be upgraded? It may cost a little bit but it may be worth it!

Yes, a few more pics, please!

1. A photo of the white round caps which are in at an angle. They are too close to the output to be ignored!

2. Photos of the yellow box caps.

3. Also, a photo of the upright boards. I think those are the Max modules and could likely contain some key components. Not totally sure.

4. And since it looks like the board is out of the box, a shot of the traces on the backside would be cool.

You're clear that this will void your warranty all to hell, right?

Okay here are a couple more pics. The diagonal caps are the same as the ones on the back and they say:
R T I Audio, .0082 200V, F1067-822G, Made in Usa, 0234

The transistors say PM03AB, LM3B7T P+ and they have a backwards sideways crooked S logo on them.

I still have to take a look at the op amps, right now I don't have my glasses on or enough light, though does the one in the pic give you enough info?

I didn't take new pics, just got some new stuff out of the ones I took earlier so I don't have pics of the modules yet.

As far a having Headroom upgrade it or worrying about having my warranty affected I view this a fun project to learing about voicing equipment. I'm really planning on buying a balanced amp eventually anyway, but this should be fun and I spent so much money on all the other gear I don't want to buy a new amp quite yet. I'm hoping this one will last me for a while. I'm pretty sure its out of warranty anyway.
