May 5th? I will still be out of town. I won't hog shelf space with the analog rig this time haha. The HD6xx headphones are pretty good, I was lucky to be able to get a pair in the Massdrop run.

Here's a mystery DAC that's never been to a meet before, ever. I think this might be it's debut worldwide. R2R ladder style DAC, on par if not maybe surpassing the Yggy, Pavane, and Spring?

I've only had an hour on it but it's sounding VERY promising. I may be the first to have this btw..

Hmm...new site isn't uploading a teaser shot. Looks like you guys will have to just wait.

This sort of gives it away..

Edit: Since the website tags the URL on the picture I might as well give it away. lol
This is the Denafrips PONTUS OS/Non OS R2R Dac with DSD support. 0.01% precision resistors and all that audiophile jazz. Sounds great, had about 24hrs so far and it's opened up a bit. Still has that new gear hint to the sound but out of the box you can tell it's a solid contender for TOTL obtainable dacs.

The power supply goods is in a completely separate compartment underneath, or so I'm told. Making the chassis a 2-level compartment in 1 unit.

Apologies that the image posting is raw on the new Head-fi site. I can not resize it down for a better fit:

I was just gonna say that it was this Denafrips dac.
Was browsing their website last weekend and was really interested in this.

If I can make it to the Bottlehead meet, maybe we can try feeding it with my noise-free and isolated LPS powered AOIP source and see where it will take it.

Have you tried and find out which input sounds the best?

I'm using AES at the moment but I will be trying I2S if I can get the right RJ45 pinout. I went back down to a Breeze Audio DU-U8 with FEMTO clocks. Sounds really nice but doesn't have that Rednet velvet sound to it. I'll need to try one of those 24/96 smaller versions of Rednet (different make that @gefski is using, forget the name).

Does it fit through the front door, or will Doc have to take out a window and hoist it in by crane?
