It is largely debatable as to say which is "better," even with the fact that both have a mid-centric signature. The GR06 had better extension in the highs (consequently, it has better sparkle too) and a more full low end and impact than the hollower SE215. Both had a very full and embodied, warmish midrange, However, for mids, I do side with the SE215, which I found sounding smoother and better defined than the GR06. While I found the GR06 having better extension, yet putting the mid forward, the SE215 is more balanced in placing the mids forward.

If I had to choose, I found the GR06 a tad better than the SE215. But only slightly, as I really do love the SE215 midrange.

Then between the Gr07 and SE215 limited editions, should I go for the 215s first just because they are limited edition? And buy the 07 a while later?

I highly doubt that the Limited Edition version will be going anywhere soon. I do hope that they update the SE215 and improve the highs frequency response, but the new SE215LTD claims to have an improved low response, so hopefully it's tightened and less hollow sounding than how it originally was. I have not tried the new LTD however. GR07 is not mid-forward, however. It's sort of a different beast, but you can still compare them. GR07 is very well balanced and has better extension both ways (I have a feeling that low extension will still be better than the LTD). It does not texturize (invented a new word there) the vocals as immensely as the SE215, but it has better clarity. But I would like to hear about some differences between the old SE215 and the new LTD so I can either make my comment definitive, or retract it. I'd say go for the 07.

I'm in the camp that think the 02 is better then 06.  They do Bass better and the highs are better.  The 06 have a better mid with a weaker bass and the highs are wonkey.
They down right sound muffled most of the time.  The 06 do have a better staging and better separation. But I'll take a cleaner sound of the 02's.

I felt that the 02 and 06 had similar highs, nicely extended, yet neither is as sparkly or hot as the GR07 though. Both emphasize mid-bass, but 02 had a great quantity, which sometimes, overpowered the midrange (I dislike this aspect), something that does not affect the 06's mid-forward signature, which has better low end control. I really do enjoy the fullness of the 06 mids, so I would say that I prefer the 06 over the 02. But it doesn't blow them out of the water; I can still see how some could prefer the 02.

So I understand that the 215 is not recommended at all, so why have them good reviews that say they are very lucrative price between $ 100 $ -50 ?

gr02 price is only $ 40
and the se215 prise is 80$

(my English is not so good i"m sorry)

I say that the SE215 has its moments too, especially with its intriguing midrange. It's just that overall, the GR06 slightly wins IMO. But I like the SE215 better than the GR02. If you like a good midrange, go for the SE215.
