Schiit we'd like to see

That's great for aesthetic matching, but if they get around to that, they would need to be capable of servicing them, whether in the long run or as in some cases (like the NAD C520's Sanyo transport debacle in the mid-2000s), when they get a bad batch of transports.

For OCD DIY-ers though there can be a fix - there's an online guide on how to build your own CDP, and the simpler version is a pure transport. The only thing they'll need is to get a Schiit chassis.

A basic transport can be done with a CD-ROM and in fact there are a few high end CD Players that use a CD-ROM. Schiit could make something that interfaces with the SATA connection of a DVD-ROM drive and the issue with servicing is minimized.

As someone already mentioned, an electrostatic amp able to drive well the top end Stax.
Or an energizer like the Woo Wee tailored for the Ragnarok to be able to use the Ragna power with electrostatic headphones.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Even with smaller quantities at least PC-grade DVD roms are cheaper. I'd take a top-loader if a replacement transport can slot in easily in case the original unit goes out of production.

Fulla with pre-out to use the amp with speakers.

A Schiit CD transport with opt/coax out in the Schiit enclosure to complete my Lyr -Bi-frost stack That would be a tidy arrangement for sure

Yes that would put a smile on my face.

Anybody else want a USB analog to digital interface for plugging in microphones and/or musical instruments? Device would:
  1. Improve the sound of a mic by removing EMI noise from the motherboard (onboard audio is noisy as hell)
  2. Allow plugging and recording electric guitar/bass/keyboard (similar to the Behringer stuff, but with higher bit depth and sampling available, with more input options and sexy Schiit body)
  3. Have phantom power for powering condenser mics
  4. Have both TRS (and mini TRS) and XLR inputs
  5. Have tape-outs in case consumers want to record the audio with their own equipment.

Yup. Just keep driving this down Jason's throat until he gives in.
