It’s going to be a challenge since they’re inherently different, different gear, connections, etc.
So far, I feel like the V3 has more space around each instrument while the MJ3 feels a little more authoritative. These are in audiophile measurements so not a drastic difference Definitely noticeable though
I’ll be sure to post more in the coming days. Going to testing with my Atrium Open and Gungnir 2 connected to MJ3 and V3.
I've found that with the stock tubes I'm getting a much more tubey sound than I did with the V2. Not even close. I'm guessing there are tubes out there we can roll in which could provide even more of that tubey goodness. I'm sure we'll start reading about tube options pretty soon. YMMV
I'm really waiting to see if anyone can chime in with a comparison to the LYR3. I'm guessing the LYR3 being a hybrid tube amp can deliver more power. I have the OG LYR3 for the record
How much power does the Atrium open need? The 250mw of the V3 gets it to around 118.5 db which should be plenty loud, I’m guessing that is rms so it should have enough power to fully drive the AO’s?
