Schiit Valhalla 3 - Impressions Thread

Well I finally decided that resistance is futile and ordered the Vanilla 3. I have a Freya N so I have a stash of 6922 tubes to roll in. It will look great next to the original Valhalla, the Asgard, and the Vali 3.

Finally found my Tubemonger 12A*7 to E88CC (6922, etc.) adapters. 1st up is the Brimar CV-455s ( Footscray)!

And TM spacers on the rear 6N6Ps keep it looking good with rear tubes a bit higher than the front. It's best to sound good while looking good!

Darn, I got my shipping notice 2 days ago but seems it takes a while to ship from Texas to Southern California since mine isn't supposed to arrive until Monday. I have a wife free weekend and was REALLY hoping it would get here before then. I did just order my socket savers from England so we'll see how they work out. I'll wait for others to figure out what tubes I should buy although I do have a bunch of 6SN7 I could try.

Really tempted to try the Valhalla 3. I own hybrid and parafeed tube amps but never an OTL.

Hmm SE in only; I wonder how long I can go with a standard SE interconnect before issues?

Also, pity there's no black knob option on the black version, that would look very cool.

I know one a bit prettier.... The V3 is a looker, i'll give you that. But the Icon in person with the copper top really makes a statement.
