It's like upgrading Hamburger to fine dining Steak. I guess Steak is a bit fancier and leaner and cleaner. But sometimes I like how juicy Hamburger is, even though it's messy.

MM2 has a more neutral and forward sound while old one is more dark sounding. The old model also runs hotter.

So basically while the old one was great one at the time the new one does not live up to the expectations? That is my impression reading about it…

Hmmmmm I wouldn't say not live up to the expectations. Just not the same sound signature.

Think of it as HD650 upgrade to HD800. Some consider upgrade some consider different.

Or like.... say you're driving a SUV then upgrade to a 2 door sports car. You drive nicer but now you don't have room for camping gear.

Gal's not a very good actress, she's not good in Death on the Nile, Lynda is a bit better, still not Streep-calibre .
Made me sad, the Gal's WW because I realized that people would no longer consider Lynda's WW the best.

Seems they've cleaned up whatever was going on -- I'm guessing parts availability. I ordered a Gjallarhorn and the web site said 2 to 3 weeks for shipping and it went out their door in less than a week. (And the website is now updated, showing 1 to 3 days. And... while this is not the thread for it, the Gjallarhorn is a keeper.)
