Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Not sure if it is obvious from my previous questions, I have been seriously thinking of reorganizing and expanding my Schiit, for various reasons, needs and to actually, kind of future proof in a sense. I need a sense of a clear path on what upgrades and where to concentrate my shekels as new products are released.

For that reason, need to ask the question, as I might need to put some of my current and past (which I still keep) Schiit for sale: Is there a guide on what are fair prices to ask for and/or to settle for various Schiit?

Let me just say, with no intention of offending that I am slightly hesitant. I have run into situations in the past, where the more knowledgeable the crowd you are trying to sell to, the harder the drive to try to get your price down to bargain levels, way below fair. Hence my question - specifically would like to get a general idea an idea of what is fair, then, knowledgeably decide if I want to accept any offer or to hold out.

Additionally, would like to inquire what has the experience been using Head-Fi classifieds specifically for Schiit gear.

Thanks in advance

Where there are opinions in this post, they are just that.

With those Mundorffs, the addes bypass is really not needed, they are great sounding caps. To me the aluminum/oil Mundorffs sound better than the gold foil/oil Mundorffs.
Curious: Why did you add the chassis ground wire?
Every tweeter and input caps on amps I've worked on get bypassed, even if its an Auricap, AmpOhm, Mundorf, ClarityCap, or whatever for 40 years to very good effect. I have not touched any Schiit product.

My Yggdrasil (first gen with A2 and Unison) is off to River Vale, NJ for the nose-in-air audiophile comparison to units costing up into the six-figure range. It is mainly a test of the "price does not equal quality" mantra that I developed many years ago while working with THX. I don't expect Larry to give me an honest opinion since there is a wager involved, but his comments in a few weeks will be interesting. I'll report here if people remain interested.
Interested and I hope you win the bet.

The capacitors were left overs from a speaker recap, and I figured "why not"...? I didn't try the EVO Oils alone, and maybe I should have? 🤔

As to the chassis ground, that was recommended over at DIY Audio. Some complaints of low-level hum, that the extra ground was supposed to fix. It didn't seem to make a difference either why, so I just left it in place...! 😁

And our 15th anniversary is...very soon now.

(Formally June 10).
Early congratulations to Schiit Audio! Here’s hoping for many more anniversaries. May Schiit Audio continue to receive strong support from high-end audio enthusiasts and music lovers around the world. Best wishes.

I only use bypass caps in speaker crossovers. An expert I trusted tried bypass caps in tube power supplies and in coupling positions and felt that they were problematic. No problems in speaker crossovers. He also hated the high end fuse industry so take it for what it’s worth. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤪
I would suggest taking the bypasses out.

My next project. A recap of my Martin Logan crossovers...! After this, no more discussions of modifications of equipment, as I truly do not wish to offend anyone...! 😇

I agree on the fuses and speakers (tweets) but not on amps.

@StimpyWan - nice assortment. I have the CSA and Aluminum Oils in my BHCs

I'm celebrating my 55th trip around the Sun. My first (gawd, I hope last) "2F" power amp and preamp landed in Mississauga. I forked out the extra moolah for FedEx to DEMAND a signature up here in the bush (ETA -- Friday?!). I paid my dues to THE MAN (tariffs, taxes, massage-$).

I agonize over buying 14 or 16 gauge speaker wire. Figure out how NOT to buy 100ft of wire, when I only need 1/2 of that. 8 pairs of banana plugs (easy purchase).

And floor speakers = ??? My very first pair, I must seek out. Nearfield listening with VERY rare rock-out 11/10. ~120 square foot listening area. No acoustic wall treatment. I'm willing to buy used. I listen to everything from classic rock to jazz to acoustic to whale song (Rheostatics). Oh and cookie monster goth.
