I tend to look at them as "pregnant station wagons"

But yeah, I do unnerstand your point of view and it does indeed have merit. But I still like station wagons.

Based on your avatar, a fORTified vehicle such as this

should be assault-ready on your driveway ☑️.

Nope, I have spent so much time lamenting that Sucky Urban Vehicles destroyed the market for any other kind of car; partial to hatchbacks myself.

HST, my current hybrid Countryman is a frickin' blast if the size works ....
Not all SUVs suck. This one blows, 2X, and it gets 27+ MPG at 75mph.
And it's a frickin' blast to drive, too. I can't believe that I still have my license.

Not the best mileage in city driving, though. :pouch::poop: But it does have a Schiit sticker on the back...

Wife brought up kicking my Navigator to the curb - and she is not wrong. Busted entertainment system, bumped up bumpers, too many repair bills. Barely kissing 10 years with me - with a few easy Covid years - seems to be ending prematurely.

Gotta talk her outta the Audi as I am a Japanese fan boy, but dang is everything expensive! Covid high used prices continue. Audi and Lexus SUVs rule the neighbors, with a splattering of Escalades and Yukons.

Looking for roomy and 3 rows with 3 wide in the middle, and agree surburban need not apply. She is HYPER anti minivan, and can smell the shared chassis a mile away.
Be different and get a Volvo XC90. Maybe even the plug-in hybrid version. We bought an S60 plug-in hybrid late last year and are loving it.

Stopped by my local Total Wine & Spirts. They had Buffalo Trace (even though it wasn't on their website). I bottle per person. Also, found a couple others I wanted to try....

Kia Telluride might be great for you. Hyundai & Kia quality has improved vastly over the years and they still offer that 10-year warranty!
Had 4 Hyundais... Santa Fe, 2 Azeras and a Genesis sedan. Great value... very low maintenance

Yesss! I'm actually dumping more Wheat BiB as I type. :)

*dump = industry term for extracting liquid gold from a barrel

Great choices IMHO.😁 I have enough bourbon to cover me if Prohibition comes back. Summertime is more for margaritas and beer in my house. Maybe an occasional mixed drink or dark rum and coke.

I am in the process of checking out a new Skoll. It is a little early to have an opinion but I shall soon enough. Listening to Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm section.
I love the Skoll and have no doubt you will too. Are you using yours with the balanced inputs from the turntable as well?

OK .... non-Schiitheads (if you're reading this) .... you can quit the cackling ....

.... a good listen to this combo will 'power-wash' the smirks off your faces and leave you all chortling in delight. ☑️

EDIT: bona fide Schiitheads already know this.

My current "realistic" dream car is a Genesis G70 3.3T AWD. 365hp of twin-turbo goodness. 😁

No my turntable is not capable so just RCA inputs. It is a little tricky going from a tube phono pre but the Skoll will give me some flexibility in my shop as I work with various turntables and cartridges.

Are you going to compare it to the Woo WA3?

... actually, not via the Focal Clear. Its nominal impedance is 55 ohms - too low for Woo WA3 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I had no idea you were in need. I can build you a headphone stand so you don’t crush the Vali.😂
