Oh dang is the schittr closing?
Eventually. But not until they have a replacement in Texas. Sounded like the building owner wants to turn it back into a wine tasting shop. And Schiit's lease will be ending sometime this year. But don't quote me on that.

I would have liked it to have a sample rate of 50-80Khz. That 20Khz strikes me as too close to the human hearing limit for my engineer's mind to be 100% happy with it.
Cymbals, e.g., would be able to take advantage of the extra hertz-age, even if only our dogs can hear it.

My mathematical brain says 50Khz/20bits would have been fantastic. I'm annoyed at the wastefulness of 96Khz/24b. I could have had another 5 songs on there!

Alternatively, have a word at the beginning of the CD to say what the sample rate and sample size are on the recording. Now that would have been perfect sound forever.
I haven't read the entire thread but what in Redbook is sampled at 20Khz? Redbook is 44.1Khz (or 48KHz for cinema sound because of film frame rate of 24 fps.)

Schiit will be a Texas only company, so that's exciting!
I was in a meeting with my Singapore coworkers so I missed the live video. When I did watch it, I was really surprised that no one asked if Mike, and Dave and Evona were moving to Texas or will there be an Engineering team left in California?

Hmmmm. Schiit is opening operations in San Antonio right around the time that ACP is moving to the San Antonio area. Coincidence?

Gotta say that I'm tickled that I'll be able to call Schiit a Texas company and look forward to a Texas-located Schiitr! Woohoo!!!

I will amend my posting to correct this possible misconception. The output is 20Khz, the sample rate is at leat 44.1Khz, I changed horses in midstream without a paddle.

All I can say is these California assembled Schiit gears will hold quite a significant value in the long run

The terroir of California Schiit is superior to that of Texas Schiit?

Is this going to devolve into something akin to the NC vs TX bbq jerking back-and-forth?
