Well, if you're going to dip into the black label, @Paladin79 then I figured it is time to finish this project. Kudos and thank you for helping out the man cave! Outstanding. I think the glencairn hangers really finish it...

I have missed the dart board badly enough in the past that I would consider those glasses and bottles to be at risk... 😯😯

But that sure is beautiful!

Bought my last SACD for the DSD tracks. No more.

While I love my Denon DVD3910 and I've kept it as my CD player because of SACD playback, since getting Yggy, I cannot listen to the Denon imbedded DAC. It sounds thin, harsh, and dull by comparison. I used to love listening to SACD via the Denon and it was awesome (I thought), but Redbook CD via Yggy just smoked it! Yggy has spoiled me irreparably.

I see an Urd in my future. 😒

My MD told me that if I am generically healthy at 65, I have a 50% chance of making it to 80, so plan accordingly...
.
My financial guy said I should plan on departing at 70 before the rest of my money did. 🤣

What would be a step up from the ETA for not too much additional $$?
I like the ETA MiniC but I'm thinking Mjolnir3 needs better.

Zero-th: disclaimer: I have a furtwangr hiding in the wings. For this and other reasons I am predisposed to (dynamic) high impedance (at least 200 ohms) headphones. Not exclusive, but predisposed. (A generality: Planars are ‘faster'--stronger attacks-- but dynamics have other advantages in my experience.)

First, if you have not tried the Sennheiser HD 600/650 WITH Dekoni finistrated pads, do that! For me that was a distinct step up for the Senn’s. (Currently you can find those Senn’s new at street price of $400 or so.) :relieved:

Second. My money is on the JAR600 (Nitsche Sound, $850), but those require patience.
Mine may arrive around Christmas...

Third/Thud I assume ZMF Ateur at about $1500 is a step too far. :scream:

Hope this helps
Noah

Went to Craft Recordings and after checking my current record collection, I have 3 of their offerings already. And all in excellent shape. Seems that I was a Classical aficionado at one point in time. Or a Telarc aficionado. Or maybe BOTH! :D

Final assembly tomorrow, the top piece is removable to allow for a Vali. Tomorrow I also hope to carve out a portion of a flight board for um, recreational use?🤪

To be a Schiitaholic is to slake one's thirst whilst drowning in the music. If patience is indeed a virtue then I am next in line to be the Poop (the Head of the Schittite Faith).

Poop ORTicus the Firstest
Oh, Schiitites is such a great name!!!
