Finnegan has always been partial to the ST shape, this is a power tube but there are some single triode 6SN7 equivalents they work fine in a Vali.😉
Finnegan is shown here measuring the element temperature of a 6AS7 with his integral temperature sensor.

I helped a buddy restore a Sunbeam Alpine , it was deceptively fast once we mounted a Ford 289 in it.🤪 It then became a Sunbeam Tiger.

“The Sunbeam Tiger is a high-performance V8 version of the British Rootes Group's Sunbeam Alpine roadster, designed in part by American car designer and racing driver Carroll Shelby and produced from 1964 until 1967. Shelby had carried out a similar V8 conversion on the AC Cobra, and hoped to be offered the contract to produce the Tiger at his facility in the United States. Rootes decided instead to contract the assembly work to Jensen at West Bromwich in England, and pay Shelby a royalty on every car produced.” The Alpine set a land speed record of 156 mph at one point, without the larger engines.🤪
I had a friend that had a Tiger, and I spent many a weekend helping him work on it. That was not a pleasant task, since the Ford V8 in that car was put in there with a shoe horn. No room for anything, including hands, let alone tools.

Got an Orchid Dac a few years back, this was an upgrade tube for $100.
Forgot a few 2c51's in the mix back then...
a Raytheon and a Tungsol..

Found a hidden 396a in the bottom of the box!! They keep multiplying!
The Tungsol is the tube on the left.
They both have 2C51 and 5670 lettering on them.

Are you secretly manufacturing these things or do you need help unpacking boxes?

Did you export some of that North Carolina style BBQ sauce to OK?
No, unfortunately. But I found a "rustic" looking place (the best kind) here not too far from the house. Tomato based sauce as expected, but with a lot of vinegar in it. Pretty darn tasty! It might keep me from suffering severe withdrawal symptoms until I can get back for a proper fix. 🤣

I was going to ask you: no love for Tigran Hamasyan?

But I just checked and he is 36 years old. I still think he deserves to be in the list haha.

Here's mine in my Vali 2++. I don't even want to start thinking about how it would sound in a Vali 3. Although I am curious to read how everyone likes it once they start being delivered.
