Vali 3 in the house. As Jason noted earlier, the silver looks much nicer in the flesh than in the photo. Love the top cover now!
I'll break it in with the stock (Russian) tube and get a feel for it, then start rolling with direct substitutes. L to R: Sylvania 2C51, WE 396A, Tesla 6CC42, and Foton triple mica 6N3P.

Ever heard of "Eccentric Soul" from Numero records? Fantastic soul from small labels that never went big. Great singers, songs and playing. Just discovered this myself. Over 35 compilations released so far. Some oldies .....
I play my system every day and really love how great this Schiit sounds.
And, it keeps getting better and better as everything settles in...
Woo-hoo

Can't go wrong with:
Frank Sinatra
Ella Fitzgerald
Mile's Davis (Kinda Blue, Sketches of Spain, etc)
John Coltrane - Love Supreme
Dave Brubeck - Time's Up
Charles Mingus - Mingus Uh Um
Lot's of the Marsalis Brothers
Sarah Vaughan
Thelonious Monk
Here are some of my picks:
Coleman Hawkins “At Ease with Coleman Hawkins”
Art Blakey and the Jazz Messangers “Three Blind Mice”
Chet Baker Sings (He can’t actually sing, but there is a certain charm in how he tries.)
Ornette Coleman “The Shape of Jazz To Come” more “out there” than a lot of Jazz, but very good.
Django Reinhardt
Bill Evans “The Complete Village Vanguard 1961”
Leon Sash “This is The Jazz Accordion” - Ideal if you like jazz but feel there just isn’t enough accordion in it.
Henry Mancini “The Pink Panther Theme”. Very well done Pop-Jazz
Herbie Hancock “Headhunters” Actually most of Hancock’s work is worth listening to.
Joe Henderson
Oscar Peterson “Night Train”
Wayne Shorter “Beyond the Sound Barrier”
And many others…
Some of my favorites:
Jazz at the Pawnshop
Ellington - Jazz Party
Adam Ben Ezra - Hide and Seek
Keith Jarrett - The Köln Concert
Dave Holland Quintet - Extended Play, Live at Birdland
Jeff Goldblum - The Capitol Studio Sessions
Götz Alsmann - Filmreif!
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Brubeck - Time Out
Hugh Laurie - Didn’t it Rain
Ellington at Newport
“Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue” on the latter is my all-time favorite jazz recording OF ALL TIME. The energy is once in a lifetime levels of insane.
Eh... Anything new? Like, somebody after the 60s? Anybody from the last quarter century?

For modern jazz, I find pretty much anything from The Bad Plus great. Piano jazz trio famous for doing cool covers as well as original material. For female vocals my goto is Cat Power(at least for modern).Eh... Anything new? Like, somebody after the 60s? Anybody from the last quarter century?
