One. Halo is in full play w/ damping factor of 10. Given the prodigious amount of controlled bass, one would never expect such a low damping factor.
..... oh oh!, don't start sounding like an ASSR acolyte ..... where the music genuflects to the specs!

Some not liking the design here, but it does make for safer tube rolling. Also, this baby is now 100v. Interested to see what Jason has to say about it. Also it looks like he went with the Russian 6N1P, I remember reading somewhere on here that they heard Jason really liked this tube but was afraid to use it due to heat? Something like that.
Other than the 100v rail, far from what I can tell is that the Vali3 is nothing more than a Vali2++ with a better case.

An ASR acolyte would never listen to music on their equipment. 😛

Showing once again that DF is one of those derived specs that audiophiles like to latch onto, but which may or may not have any real-world meaning. Sort of like output impedance or any of the subjective perceptual phenomenon like sound stage.

.... I'll trot out (again 😒) my view on the ASR mantra: "Music is for losers who don't listen to graphs" 😤.

Humming right along, I was…. But you lost me at “sound stage”

‘Cause last night I was hearing me an awesome soundstage on my Chesky re-issue of RCA LSC Scheherazade (LP)… 3D and all…

My point about sound stage is it is not universal; it is a result of perception and varies user to user. What you hear I may not and vice versa. Some people talk about it like it's an amplifier's power rating - fixed as part of the design - which is most certainly is not. Anyone who says "this system creates a great sound stage" should add "to me with my setup using this recording."

Recordings are mixed to create psychoacoustic effects such as instrument placement, stereo separation. reverb and delay, and many other electronic mixing techniques that will make one recording sound different from another. Users often interpret this as "sound stage." But it is a perception of acoustic phenomenon, and will change depending on things like speaker placement, system design such as driver number and spacing, room reflectivity, listener position, etc.

Y'all aint gonna believe this Schiit but I found a Yggy OG gen5 in Silver for $1295, then a day later it dropped $100...
I couldn't resist @ $1195.
Poor Gumby MB got replaced before he arrived. Or, I'll actually probably do a Royal Rumble with them!
May the best man win.
@Slackaveli I think you are my new Schiit Inspiration! You managed to upgrade before you got your upgrade. I need better game...

The sweet sounds of pink noise and sine waves!

I like to listen to pink noise, warble tones and frequency sweeps. Sometimes I enjoy having my guests listen to my speaker cabinets with a stethoscope so I can regale them with stories about how the internal bracing is as good as any speaker at 10x the price.
Are you mocking me? :)

6N1P? same as Valhalla input tubes?
So the parabolic dish like recess can reflect some heat to the tip of the tube ....
