And the members on this thread are a small subset of a small subset of audio enthusiasts. 90 members and 123 lurkers online at the time of this post
Not objecting about your choice of words - they're accurate - but using 'small subset' and 'members' could possibly be expressed with larger, more girthy words. 🤣

A few guesses re: manuals:
  • An option at checkout is probably out of the question due to the required logistics/extra faff
  • I doubt there will be anything device specific printed on the boxes, due to standardizing box size with device size, ie no device specific boxes as far as I've seen. Once again to keep logistics simpler

Aren't the Nines around an efficiency of 91db/1watt/1meter? When you crank-up your new Aegir 2, careful, you may need hearing protection, lol. My Aegir is paired to 95db speakers and my old ears say ouch when the volume heads towards max, spl reminds me of a Stones concert. Nevertheless, Aegir 2 will be a great purchase to pair with those awesome speakers.
Yeah, I probably don’t need any more power than the OG Aegir has to overwhelm my listening room. That said, I think having a little more power might get a little more from the speakers. We’ll see. I also just trust Jason when he says he’s created a better sounding Aegir.

I am racking my brain trying to figure out how to justify an Aegir 2 for my office.

This I think is a serious problem that Schiit would have to solve. With so many different products sharing the same name (is it a DSD thing or an EQ thing or a + or a ++ ??) someone getting the item down the line runs a real danger of finding the wrong manual.
.
Go to the manual page, type in your serial number, and the proper manual pops up...?

Aside to the aside: as evidenced by some insane people using Tyrs to drive Raal ribbon headphones DIRECTLY, as in, connect Tyr (a differential amp, each half seeing half the load) into 0.2 ohms. No problem. Don’t crank it up, or it will click off. But no problem.
I've been called out :grimacing: . Think I mentioned this on SBAF at one point but found out that it worked from @ethr with their CA-1A.
It's how I like to run my SR-1b:

I have a matching speaker amp to headphone adapter, it's just not setup in this picture.
But there's no noise floor and the sound is great. Been running it like this for close to a year now without any issue.

I run my Focal 91 db sensitive floorstanders off of Gjallerhorn mono, and it's fine with Gjallerhorn stereo as well. Even Rekkr at 2 wpc supplies enough power for these to fill a 13' x 24' area to satisfying levels.

Aegir 2 will be plenty. Soon.
