Could the hum be mechanical as opposed to electrical? Motor vibration transmitted to the plinth or to the platter and being picked up by the cartridge?
You just couldn't wait to use the word "plinth" in a family-friendly context. :smirk_cat:

But if it's installed vertically, it's a genius resolution to the debate. The "ground on top" and the "ground on bottom" camps are both 50% happy at the same time. :slight_smile:

Already have a Modi+, and currently paired with a Heretic. Would have been cool to downsize into a single unit with the Unity, but I do need optical for when I play PS5. Oh well.

BBQ plankton is phenomenal.

Plankton that has been aged in old whiskey barrels, then passed through the intestinal track of a Civet cat, and then BBQ'd is even better.
