Is it possible to just record/digitize from a Mani2 into a Mac?

You need an ADC module in between.

I hate Christmas music so here's my contribution Beth Hart, Am I the one live. I just found this version today. I busted out the Grado 325e and the Piety and was floored. Her voice never ceases to amaze me.

I’ve seen her in concert a number of times and her endless energy and vocals are something that need to be experienced!

There’s EMI everywhere, including a couple of wart switching power supplies in the area. Making an effort to trap RF noise is a good thing.

Getting a GS2 with Unison next week, so I’ll try Unison-Unison then. For now, it was simpler to leave my Mac Mini on the Gen 5 USB and put the Urd on coax. Will also try AEU/ESB.
I have a couple USB C to B and A cables on order as well.

You need an ADC module in between.

Probably you do need an ADC. Once upon a time, computers fairly often had a line in on a 3.5 mm stereo jack. I do not know until how recently the various Mac product lines held on to that. It was never really a thing on laptops, as I recall.

Also once upon a time, Schiit made an ADC, called Jil. I wanted one and I still want one, but moreso, I want an ADC with True Multibit or possibly Singularity. But I still have very little money for things I do not need.

The Audient id24 is a recording interface with direct-to-ADC inputs (bypassing the microphone preamps). It would be my top pick at reasonable cost.

The one I already have is the Yggy GS. I decided to get the GS2 rather than upgrading the GS, and will move the GS from my 2 channel setup to my headphone setup. I’d assume they should sound the same since they have the same generation of analog board.

Other than NOS now being a thing on the GS2, I'd think the GS and GS2 should/would sound identical.

The other difference is my GS still has the Gen 5 USB.
But since my headphone rig is fed by an Allo Digione with a BNC, the USB won’t be used there.
