Fishing line didn't quite cut it for me, but chains and pulleys did.

On a related note, my son can confirm from experience that an iPhone 15 is not submersible. Phone + Teenager = thank God for insurance. 🤣
What were the circumstances? iPhone 15 is rated IP68 for water resistance and it might have been covered under warranty. Quote from Apple:
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are splash, water, and dust resistant and were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes).

You were somewhat vague in your opinion. Could you please be a little more direct?
Sure. Sorbothane is ***** ***** ***** that ***** ***** *****, and ******* ****** ******** with ****** ****** *****.

That help any? 🤣 🤣
where Sorbothane does work is under the 4 black granite slabs that I put my Schiit on , so it goes Rack shelf ( glass ) Sorbothane puck x 4 , granite slab 10mm thick , Schiit .

the mass of granite is damped from vibration very effectively , but your right sorbothane directly under Schiit sounds - well crap

I was at this concert. My first Dead show. Commander Cody and the lost planet airmen, Maria Muldar, and 2 sets with the Dead (with Seastones during the set break). It started a lifelong relationship with the band that lasts to this day.

Hanlon's is the precursor now, like Occam's before it. This is AP's razor, unless you stole it from elsewhere.

And if I may, let's make it slightly more pithy:
"Don't attribute to AI that which can be adequately explained by inadequate language skills."

Feel free to further adjust it, then I might put it on some relevant wikipedia page and before you know it you coined an actually important variation.

ETA: Maybe a more true and more useful version would be "Don't attribute to AI that which can be explained by human failings."

Hmmmm. Didn't know that. Not to go into too much detail here, but he dropped it in the toilet....pre-flush. Didn't work when he pulled it out (I sure as hell wasn't going to ). He had his earbuds plugged into it, so perhaps that provided a path for water to get in? Not sure. The phone company replaced it for the $29 deductible, so that was good enough for me.

Wait, his earbuds plugged in??? Not possible with an iPhone 15 (most phones in the last 5 years have no headphone jack).

Edit: oh, I guess you mean with a headphone dongle in the USB port.

On the topic of Mj3 heat, yes the bottom right gets quite warm...however...

Screenshot_20231214_140928_Amazon Shopping.jpg

This 120mm fan on low speed is effectively inaudible and eliminates all traces of heat from the Mj3 chassis in my environment.
Indeed! I rock an 8" AC Infinity fan system with a filter and exhaust ducts to vent the excess heat and fumes from my shop. Incredibly effective, it keeps my inverters and sound system cool as well when it's over a 100 degrees in the shop.

This old Mjolnir 2 thing? Ain't half bad!
Yes sir!!
Absolutley....the older stuff is still as good as it was touted on day 1.
IMO just a different "goodness"...
Sometimes in the search for perfection we forget we actually might have had something really close "way back then!"...
