D’accord, but… I have good luck with Pi4s USB into Urd and Thence to Bifrost 2. 🤷🏼

USB works like a charm for me - USB-C from my MacBook Pro to the URD, USB-C to the Bifrost 2...

With Kubrick, a lot of that happened because he had a tendency to get attached to the temp music during editing, and then cancel the original score.
Yep, and IMHO with some pretty good results. Barry Lyndon especially.

This was interesting; the "all cables are the same" crowd might learn something. Because they clearly aren't, especially for USB.

Are you saying we should use Apple cables?

That cable is thunderbolt. Schiit products do not use thunderbolt cables they use USB-2 level cables.

Schiit recommends Amazon Basics or Monoprice. Apple does not offer a USB-c to USB-b cable, Monoprice does.

Does anyone else have 12v triggers that they use in a system? ....
I've used them for years when available. One of the best features of SVS (?) subwoofers is that they have a trigger input. Fantastic!

I miss the trigger on the Schiit amps. To work around its lack, I use an older Belkin power thingy that has "remote" outlets. The "remote" is actually a 12v trigger. A smart outlet would also work, I suppose, like a SwitchBot.

My sons called the Rite of Spring "the dinosaur music".
Which score is "the whale music" from the new Fantasia? That's the one my kids remember.

Is it too early for Christmas music? I was listening to Diana Krall‘s Quiet Nights album in Quboz, feel sleep and woke up to this song. 😜

Nope! My kids wanted to hear the 12 days of Christmas, so I found the John Denver and Muppets Christmas album. Excellent! Then I followed it up with Beach Boys Christmas, another classic

Speaking of Fantasia, the original soundtrack recording sounds very weird on headphones because of the experimental multitrack recording setup they used. There are some odd phase artifacts throughout, and several examples of the kind of wild panning effects that we'd normally associate with 1960s psych rock. It's not so surprising to see that Stokowski signed on to conduct it, given that he was often first in line for newfangled technologies like early electrical recording.
