Exactly... sounds almost like 2 different programs at onceIt's the track with the crazy driving drums kicking in, isn't it? It's caused me confusion, too.

Thanks, Amos ... I somehow didn't envision you as a fan of German death metal nor doom jazz, but new music genres are always interesting for me!I was going through a ~2000 track playlist at random and seeing what came up. Better-recorded tracks became very noticeable. Maybe I should throw in some of my more interesting music recommendations then?
This... imagine old-school German death-metal types decided to start playing downtempo jazz ... or maybe you can't imagine -- that's just too weird. When you hear it though, it makes strange sense. It's definitely jazz (doom jazz?), but so downtempo sometimes you think your DAC has glitched and is playing at half the sample rate it should be. If you love moody, slow, sax-based music, you'll love this. Start with "Constant Fear" is my suggestion.
Yikes are you going to use Southern colloquialisms on me? How about “Your dog don’t hunt.” Shouldn’t you be eating grits or some such?
Oh in case you do hunt or fish I should be receiving some tiger maple soon. I will be making some knives with this type of handle. I can always send one your way.
Interesting to read some of the comments ... a few of those folks appear to be brainwashed or on the take? Was hoping it was going to die on the vine... https://www.stereophile.com/content/lenbrook-acquires-mqa
My mother was a huge fan of his, so i grew up listening to him on vinyl. back when that was the only option.A sad morning..
Roger Whittaker died at 87.. Truly a last farewell..

You can reframe/rebrand/relaunch/repackage MQA 'till the cows come home, but at the end of the day it's still a lossy, proprietary codec that doesn't solve any problems that haven't already been solved with MP3/4, AAC, or FLAC.Was hoping it was going to die on the vine... https://www.stereophile.com/content/lenbrook-acquires-mqa

This was my guess as well. If that's the case, hopefully it won't be proprietary to Lenbrook devices (or they'll at least license the tech for a reasonable fee)My best guess is that they'll use the technology under a different name as wireless audio protocol between their nodes and speakers.
I saw that article as well. I don't believe Darko is correct but stranger things have happened.
OMG! Lenbrook could then go bankrupt faster than MQA did. What a brilliant legacy! For those who dislike Darko and don't want to click the link, he's guessing Lenbrook is going to start their own streaming service.
Neither did I!Thanks, Amos ... I somehow didn't envision you as a fan of German death metal nor doom jazz, but new music genres are always interesting for me!
Have both the HiFiMan Edition X & Sundara and the AKG 702....
Now I'm thinking about getting another set of headphones, because why not? ... I'm thinking of either the Hifiman Edition XS (I love my Sundara) or the AKG K712 Pro for something different. Any thoughts or opinions on which one? I'll be using them for the next 2 months on the Magni Piety, and my main stack is the Lokius/Freya +/Asgard 3
