Would you (or someone else) be able to add some context to 60 degrees Celsius?
It's like a cold sauna. Maybe OK for pets and small children, but anyone else would be miserable.

They are too busy reviewing mobile phones. One thing I noticed and is kind of strange in my opinion, large review entity What HiFi only has one Schiit product in review ...
Thanks for the further elaboration, Jason. I mean, I'm grabbing one regardless, just figuring out placement for the stack. Sounds like Folkvangr will stay on the top shelf (all the better to see the pretty lights).60 degrees c on the heatsink is cooler than the max temp of the Folkvangr chassis, and far lower than an incandescent bulb or typical tube. The Valhalla 2/Folkvangr output tubes run as high as 180 degrees C.
Vidar goes into protection when heatsinks reach 85 degrees C. Asgard 2 ran 45 or so, Asgard 1 a bit more.
Still, I'd follow the same instructions as Folkvangr: keep away from kids or pets.
Same as Freya, Urd, and Loki Max.
Of course I’m going to need to know more about this mysterious $$ usb cable. The Urd “Track ‘O The Day”
“Yawning or Snarling” - The Tragically Hip, Day for Night
This CD, spun on Urd, converted by Yggy, actually sounds more analog than the LP.
Yes I’ve been drinking but not much.
p.s. - swapped $$$ USB cable for low $$ USB cable and Urd+Yggy == MAGIC. Seven discs played, no weird metallic heterodyning noises, just the most analog digital sound I’ve ever heard.
This is nuts, I tell ya… nuts!
Have you by chance heard this album?Nah, just very different creatures with shared genetics.
I honestly wanted to enjoy Snarky Puppy because of the name alone. Nothing I heard from them ever clicked with me, although the talent was obvious. I have enjoyed music by Charlie Hunter featuring SP members, however.
MAybe Good Vibrations in the Bay area will become a dealer......It’s hot. But my kids were really good about not touching the audio gear. Probably fear of Dad’s wrath.
Makes me want one.
What would be the point of copper over plastic? Surely, plastic would insulate?Try a search for companies near you doing copper over plastic or aluminum for EMI / EMC coatings
A clear coat over the bare copper will also be necessary, unless you want patina. @Paladin79 Not that there’s anything wrong with patina of course

Love your gear, hate the towel though. Take a colour that explodes like yellow.I love my Schiit gear. Y'all are giving Jason quite the hard time. He said that they'd make it right if you aren't happy.
