There is also a 6sn7 to what 6922? adapter used as well. Thus the double adapter.
Yup, a 6SN7 to 6922 adapter for the OG Vali 2. There's also a socket saver / extension in there, but since that's not technically an adapter it's more like double-adaptering+. 🤣

You already have KT-90's. That's enough power for you. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Its a crime to compare Czechvar to Bud. Its apples to durian.
It’s the name printed on the bottle only. But, having spent a portion of my youth in SE Asia, I happen to like durian! But you’re bang on. I was offered a Budweiser whilst working in Hammersmith one afternoon, and after my “No!”, was informed that it “wasn’t THAT Budweiser.” I learnt something that day.

OK, now it's coming clear for me. I keep forgetting that there are various flavours of Vali. This won't work in my 2++, but I'll do some research to see what 's possible.

You would need a 6SN7 -> 5670 adapter for the 2++, like these:

Then a dual 6J5 or 7A4 adapter to a single 6SN7. I haven't seen adapters that go directly from a pair of 6J5's / 7A4's to a 5670 socket, but perhaps someone makes one. You could also PM fellow HeadFi'er @Deyan who makes very nice adapters and see if he could make a direct adapter for you.

That said, there's a pretty big selection of very nice sounding NOS 5670 / 2C51 / 6CC42 / 6N3P / 396A tubes out there that require no adapter, so lots of rolling potential without getting crazy. @Paladin79 and I crossed that threshold long ago, so there's no hope for us.

I'm waiting for an improved multibit card for the Asgard 3. With Unison and stuff.

What's the best headphone to pair with my AS3? Currently using a DT770Pro...

It has just been announced by FIFA and Qatar, that alcohol will be banned from the host nation's stadiums, at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Budweiser is a major sponsor of FIFA.

Luckily, it doesn't make beer
I don't drink it often, but Bud DID save our bacon when the USA hosted the World Aerobatic Championships in (IIRC) 2003. They came through with a significant cash donation and we used SeaWorld in Orlando for the awards ceremony. It helped that the ceremony was held on 4th July - I'm sure delegates and competitors thought we had arranged the fireworks for them.

Ms Jody was amazed that this was top of the news on ClassicFm's newscast!

Yep my Mam was the Geordie and Dad the Londoner (not strictly Cockney but close enough) and I have worked with some extraordinarily tough Glaswegian 'armed services' guys - when my Geordie uncles and Aunts visited a few years back my Wife couldn't understand a word of it !! - I had to quite literally translate for her
A friend is one of the first true Cockneys born after WWII. He was born just after the world cup win in 66 and the bells had just been restored after being destroyed in WWII bombing.

I have owned both and unless you are willing to do upgrades to the Bottlehead Crack I would probably stick with a Valhalla 2 for overall sound. As far as pure tube sound in all honesty it would be the BH Crack with upgrades.
Agreed 100% regarding the Crack. I built a Crack 1.0 and listened to it happily for over a year with Senn HD600s. After replacing the loading resistors with the Speedball C4S (Camille Cascode Constant Current Source) upgrade, the amp was transformed with regard to speed and resolution. Highly recommended; just be aware that while the Crack is a beginner-level kit, the Speedball (at least the v1.0 upgrade) was not... a bit more intricate work involved there.

I thought that at least at one time, Doc offered assembly on some of the kits; not sure about the Speedball. But if you buy a Crack, you definitely want a Speedball... :)

And I'm sure that Tom can direct you to some Coke-can-sized upgrade capacitors, too. <g>

All of this being said, I would rather listen to my Schiit Jotunheim 1 (w/the True Muitibit card) today, with my Senn HD650s. But that's just me, YMMV.

I'm waiting for the Folkvangr+ that will use eight KT-150's for output tubes. 🤣
Yeah, with the option for a cryo-cooler (like the one on the Webb Space Telescope) to prevent local time distortion from the radiated heat...

A little added heat from Class A never hurts in the lower level of my house in wintertime. 😜
