Is there a Loki Max thread?

Short order: not for me. perceived hit in transparency, bass frequency unaffected by the Abyss. Ha.

I can see the use to refine although I feel there are better means.

Tekton Lore Reference arrived yesterday. I have an Emotiva TA-100 coming but I might add a Vidar or Aegir. Anyone else with these speakers?
I have had the Lore minis for over a year and used them with a ta100 until very recently when I grabbed a Freya+/Aegir combo. I should try using the ta100 as a preamp and compare with the sound as an integrated. I was pretty happy with the sound of the ta-100, but in comparison, the new setup sounds more refined/better to me. Was it worth it? For me, yes but YMMV and all that. Maybe try it for a while and add an Aegir later?

This is very very .. very very ... disturbing news.

We thought YOU were the True Master.

Who is this Other Master of Cardboard of whom you speak?
I am but an apprentice (and beta tester). The true master is the creator... @Paladin79 . He deemed wood to be too extravagant for my amp.

Ah so.

I had understood that to be an act of kindness and conscience, to gift you with something that would fit in with your existing decor.

We need speak no more of this. I had some cardboard furniture at an earlier stage of life, so I understand. We appreciate you for who you are and what you bring to the conversation. (Or, for some of us, to the table as BBQ for lunch.)

I plan to let him see the real thing one day but for now, baby steps.😜 @AudioGal on the other hand deserved some of my more serious work. One must keep the world spinning in greased grooves.🤣

I bet you tried your hand at homemade vacuum tubes as well. But, even though you probably have access to an abundance of methane gas, it didn't work too well as an alternate to a true vacuum. Though, I'm sure the results were explosive, if short lived. :)
