I don't have answers for the Apple files question but is the album perchance available on Bandcamp?

What's the album? Maybe we can do a hive search.
Can't find it on Bandcamp. The album is: Jan Akkerman - North Sea Jazz Legendary Concerts

$39 and might keep you honest: https://www.ebay.com/itm/226093531749 - however it's an auction and @bcowen might bid it up to $500 when he finds out that Akkerman was MM's great lost uncle or something.

Includes the DVD too, which apparently was a digital format used a long time ago to capture your soul in a series of moving images. Spooky.

Could shop waaaay out of state: https://albamusic.hu/termek/akkerman-jan-north-sea-jazz-legendary-concerts-cddvd-digi-2013/

It seems that while one can 'download' ALAC versions of music via Apple Music (for local storage and playback), from what I've read it has DRM and can only playback via Apple Music's player/streaming app.
That is true for all streaming services — downloads for offline listening are encrypted and this is required by the record labels in their music license. Otherwise piracy would be rampant.

For purchases, Apple stopped doing DRM on iTunes purchases years ago. However, as far as I know iTunes music is still only offered in AAC format, not lossless.

I've never gotten to see F1. But the American Le Mans Series in the middle of Audi's glory days was sure rad!
ALMS was my first TRUE love in motor sports. Did you see the Audis live? While hugely impressive feats of performance, it was the weirdest thing seeing such low revving and quite diesels hauling a--, obviously before the current hybrid era.

Ohhh, I bet that was cool! I've never been to any of those. I've been to tons of dirt track and local drag races, half a dozen NASCAR races, 7 F1 races, a MotoGP race, and 30+ NHRA National events. Short of standing between a couple of top fuel cars leaving the starting line nothing was as impressive as being around the V10 F1 cars on track, you could actually feel the traction control kicking in when they were coming out of the turns and would floor it, not to mention the glorious sound of 20,000 RPM! Man I miss those days...

Yeah, I hate Apple for not offering ALAC high res download purchases. They have the data and technology to do it.
That said - their 256 AAC do sound really good… so if I can’t find stuff anywhere else I just accept it.

Stupid question here maybe… My Triangle Esprit Titus Ez is listed “3.8 - 8 Ohm” (90 dB/1 watt). Would they work well with Aegir OG monoblocks?

Also Interested to hear what speakers (no matter size) others have found to be the blending with Aegir OG monoblocks (here will also be Yggy and Kara in the chain).

I can't answer your question, though I've wondered the same thing about using Aegir (II or OG) monoblocks with my Triangle Borea BR08s, which have similar specs to the Esprit Titus Ezs. I had the impression that due to the occasional dips to 3.8 ohms it might be an iffy combination. Others could answer more definitively. I'd also like to ask if you have been using the Kara and if so how you like it.

That is an amazing CD.
Was used extensively at my fave hifi shop as a demo disc back in the 80s
I miss those Friday nights where they had beers, snacks and so many came by and heard great systems playing great music. They did well in sales too on those evenings.
