Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

In rather unsettling news today, I was informed that the large walk-in closets in the new audio room were NOT mine. The room itself is mine, and I have successfully fended off several attempts at encroachment. But apparently I am only entitled to one of the two closets. "That is not OK" were her exact words after she discovered audio stuff in both, and my response of "But honey, we are in OK" was not received with the humor intended. Does anyone else run into these seemingly insurmountable challenges in married life? 🤣 🤣
Perhaps you need to purchase a Steely Dan?

Is anyone aware of a power amplifier optimized for the 7581A beam power tube, preferably in multiple? The SOVTEK® 6N23P (Cyr: 6Н23П) is likely capable as a driver.

I'm pretty sure Bill has seen to it that the only axe his wife has access to is...

Why is it that when I hear "axe", I think of guitar? I'm a reformed trombonist, not a guitarist.

Have you thought about a last chance reconciliation fishing/sailing trip?

I'm not suggesting anything. As a lifelong sailor, many things can be solved in the ocean.

Didn’t really need it, but I ordered a Vali 2++ at the discounted price. I did some listening at the Schiitr a while back and really liked sound of the Vali 2++ over the Valhalla. The Valhalla sounds great and I might be tempted to get the current or next version at some point, but what I am looking for is something that sounds VERY tubey. Beethoven’s 9th sounded really delicious on it. I suppose I could have gone with a Vali 3 (It wasn’t available then) but I don’t want something that is too “improved” to the point where I’m not getting the sound I was hearing on the 2++. (I’ll listen to the 3 next time I run up to Newhall)

Do you honestly think Bill's wife knows where the breaker box is in the garage? :D
.... Does Bill know where (if) the breaker box is in Sidecubus .... 😳?

Gotta say, I'm pretty excited to hear about Schiit's expansion in Texas. I'm hoping that it will mean expansion to include mfg of the bigger 'power cord / internal power supply' units. I'd love to start getting 'Made in Texas' stickers with the bigger products. 😉
.... including bigger LEDs 😳?

There is only one sideways version, Cowen’s.😉

Speaking of cat’s, my work got halted when my wife’s cat decided a blue sweatshirt needed some white cat hair.

Finnegan took my wife’s pillow so this one was displaced.
A Calico? Bless you, sir. A bat-schiit crazy prima donna if there ever was one…

Huh. I just realized I'll be driving through LA next month. I could stop at the Schittr and see it for myself! That might be cool... my wallet is making unhappy sounds, but I'll have an empty station wagon... the possibilities are endless! Well. Not endless, but pretty wide.

Not sure where I'd put more Schitt. The stack I've got going is almost perfect.
