My WE 396A's, got them for a steal!!
Use them with an adapter in my Vali 2+
Vali 3, soon, no adapter and 100 volts!

There is the one just across the border in Delaware? Or do I misremember? I see billboards extolling its catalog all along I95 between Philly and Baltimore.
There is a Total Wine very close to the DE/PA border just off I95. There is a second smaller one a little southwest in the suburbs of Wilmington also

I am starting on a trial version of a mini rack using black walnut and honey locust. This concept seems to work fine, and let’s me know the build can be done. I will use this one as a pattern for the @bcowen build and donate it to one of you when both are completed.
Sweet. Love the side posts! Having one or two in the back (like a traditional cantilever) could get in the way of cable connections, and your design eliminates that issue.

I went with quarter inch wood for yours as well but buying tiger maple can be a crap shoot, hopefully what I ordered meets our standards. I have phenomenal tiger maple in 3/4 to 1 inch but that is overkill for this project. I am considering rosewood posts for yours, or solid gold, or walrus tusks if they are legal.🤪

lol I would hope the Vali would be on the top shelf to allow for that. @bcowen demonstrated what that can look like.😁 you want the ability to easily roll tubes.
Yes, for me it will be Vali 2 3 on top, then Loki Mini, then MMB OG, then EITR (MMB OG doesn't have Unison and benefits from having EITR in the chain).

I now have "tube envy". Not to be confused with any other form of "envy". For example I have always wanted to play the piano bu never wanted to learn, ergo it could be said that I have...wait for it..."Pianist Envy".

Yup. My mom would have me watch two films whenever they were on TV back in the days of (mostly) black & white - "Pygmalion and My Fair Lady".
"Remember that you are a human being with a soul and the divine gift of articulate speech..." I was already familiar with the Greek Myth upon which both were primarily based and it is a favorite of mine: "Pygmalion and Galatea".

R A M B...L I N...Ramblin'!

What hath this to do with tubes, you say?! Nothing.

And everything. Because many tubes are beautiful in the way that Galatea was. Created by human hand to be perfect. Beautiful beyond words, even when one has be given the divine gif of articulate speech.

I am SpORTicus!

Eitr, Norse, noun: poison, venom
Eiter, German, noun: …you reeeeeally don’t want to know, trust me…

I've owned a few Schiit products over the years. Notably, a Vidar that I've had for a few years now. Recently I took a shot at a used Lyr+ for a first tube amp. It's a been over a week now with it and I have to say it's my favorite Schiit product. I also have a Saga+ and a Bifrost 2/64(which is doing VERY well against a Chord Qutest). My only issue is the stepped attenuator which is disruptive to the music.
