I still use my Chtulu at work! I did drop it on the ground at one point and the cover came off, but duct tape does a good job of keeping it together, and letting it power my Eitr, Modi Multibit, Loki, Magni stack

It's Cthulhu so the uglier the better. More duck tape, in various colors! Some rubber cement at strategic points, a few wires straggling out for no apparent reason.

One nitpicky point about the whole Aegir 2 experience, now that I have moved it into my office system:

It'd be nice if, when you placed an Asgard on top of it to use as a preamp, the rubber feet of the Asgard sat on the frame of the Aegir and not the heatsink.

It just encourages you to put better/taller feet on and slightly inside the originals. This has been an issue with Vidar and Aegir OG as well.

I am totally happy with this setup in my office. Sometimes, I forget to work.

I am considering something similar, but worlds tallest pedestals instead of wall mount.
LOVED my old triple monitor setup, and considering that as a priority as listening distracts from working too much. New 34 or 38 inch displays with virtual monitors sound interesting and may leave enough room for better near field speaker setup...multibit asgard + ghorn + kef q150 is in house - but Yggy GS2 "filling in" until the big rig gets setup (Vandy 2 with amp TBD).

Standing desk shopping after spring break, as currently on a 6' folding outdoor table.

Good question. You should take them both out and A/B test them. I run a MM2 > Lyr3 > Aegir OG > Zu Omen IIs and would love a little more tubiness so I am waiting for Valhalla 3 to come out to see how it sounds. I don't have room for a Freya+ and don't think the Saga+ sounds as good as the Lyr3 so looking for something else. May have to go off the reservation and find some non Schiity preamp instead but Jason said the V3 would be based off the FV so I am waiting to hear how it sounds before doing so.
