Some humor for my HF friends while I await shipping confirmation for my Aegir 2.

Gotta say that I'm not a big believer in coincidence.

Wish they ship it out before end of Friday, then may be you can have it on Monday?

For those interested in what their rooms look like acoustically, this is a nice calculator.

https://amcoustics.com/tools/amroc

They have different calculators for different sized/shaped rooms.

My room is square, which is bad (difficult.) The room modes double up.

A cubed room is even more difficult.

12'x12'x8' does not paint a very pretty picture. Fortunately, I've done some acoustic treatment and it does not sound as bad as it looks.

Odd shape is always better.

They read numbers instead of listening to it, who got the Aegir 2 shipped to their house?
Yes it seemed to me that if they actually heard A2 to cp to A1 they must have had a reviewer unit sent to them.

Agreed. If done well.

Bonus that it saves glovebox space not having the ever increasing size manual.
But what do you do if you want to access the spare tire and don't know where it is in the middle of nowhere?

Yeah, learned this in my last dedicated room that was 25'x17' with an 8' ceiling. The 17' and 8' didn't play nicely with the 25'. Fortunately some ASC corner traps made a huge improvement in that situation. New room is 23' x 18' with a 9' ceiling, so at least mathematically I have a better starting point. There are also a couple large cutouts for the dormer-style windows on one end that should help break up reflections if I point the speakers in that direction. Room treatments are a godsend when a room has to be treated, but less is more (IMO) if you can get away with it.

And we are back to manuals. Does anyone in here have any cats?

Cars still come with spare tires? Far out. My RX8 was equipped only with a can of Fix-a-Flat. It *did* have a nicely bound owner's manual though. 🤣
