Some humor for my HF friends while I await shipping confirmation for my Aegir 2.

Gotta say that I'm not a big believer in coincidence.

LUXURY!!! 144 sqft for my audio room. Your wife's closet is likely bigger. :unamused:
After all my years of having to live in the lake, I feel like I deserve it. No? 🤣

My old audio room was in a rusty metal shed in a rubbish tip next door. I used to have to get up before I went to bed to go out there turn on my Schiit to warm up!

I have two main audio areas taking up 885 square feet, my wife took over two bedrooms upstairs including closets once the kids moved out so she has plenty of space in the house as well as an outbuilding for her pottery. Compromise has allowed us to stay married for 50 years, she even has her own cat and of course I have mine.:)

I have a 'bonus' room in the new house that will be the dedicated audio room. But it's only 414 sqft. I was rejoicing, but now feel almost claustrophobic.

Fortunately it's a room. If it were a closet, my wife would have commandeered it.
414 square feet? You'll be fine. Mine's only 154 square feet. It took a bit of work, (ok, a lot of work) but it sounds pretty good.

I don't want to brag about having 10 square feet more than you, but...Nanner nanner!

Well, I feel better after re-working the numbers to find my room is actually 1,152 cubic feet. :D

I think a certain Scottish manufacturer of ‘high-end’ audio got there first!
I won’t even mention their name on this forum, because, unlike Schiit Audio, they epitomise over-priced, over-hyped, mediocreproducts.
I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole…even if wearing white gloves

As I plan to do all routine servicing myself on my ‘new’ MGB GT V8- not too difficult as there are no electronics whatsoever- I bought an original British Leyland Workshop Manual.
It is excellent!
And the few parts that are electrical would be Lucas and should therefore be replaced.... immediately with something that will work.

Looking at a house today that would give me the 32x22 main basement area for my audio/theater/work area. I think my wife has Stockholm syndrome to agree to that
Sometimes all you have to do is buy your wife a new car and a $30,000 pottery shed and you are allowed to have your own space.

I wonder what ever happened to the house at 54 Martha where the Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead and other Bay Area bands hung out, rehearsed and would self medicate.
The famous Jefferson Airplane house is at 2400 Fulton in San Francisco...

One thing I'll have to give to Texas: it's steak country. Not that you can't get great steaks elsewhere, just that in TX a bad steak is almost an oxymoron.
They also have better chicken fried steak even in gas station quickie marts than most of the country serves up on the table.
