Once I finish other projects I have to try this!

Is class A runs hot at low load and cooler at high load? and, at same sound level, same speakers, how come it runs cooler than the Vidar 2, that confuse me ..... anyway, cooler is good.
It's Continuity, so it runs cooler than OG Class A. Also Aegir 2 has twice as my output transistors as (my) Aegir 1(s), so... yes. Cooler is good!

When I had the Vidar monoblocks, I was surprised how hot they would get. The Tyrs... lukewarm at best.

but..but.. you're not using the outputs??! How can you hear anything?

btw, is that the original power cord or an aftermarket one? I've not seen an aftermarket one sold to audiophiles that is so svelte....
Pangea Audio... great cables. Audio Advisor sells them. I've owned many of their power and signal cables.

Quite few have died or been seriously injured doing this. Especially with a microwave transformer. I know you are up to the task, so just saying this for others and for Finnegan.

Personally I never feel pressure since I have owned around 14 Schiit devices and only use a solid state amp with the same specs as the Carver Silver Seven tube amp other than in my surround sound system.
TFM-35?

I have yet to pull the trigger on naturally aged/fermented soy sauce, but that day will arrive as soon as life slows down enough for me to take the time to prepare and enjoy meals worthy of such an experience...

My life now consists of providing home daycare for 2 energetic small children, working a 50+ hour a week job, caring for three kids & a dog, helping my wife navigate the physical and mental challenges of cancer, anxiety, depression, cooking, cleaning, house maintenance, and some civic/community responsibilities.

Life leaves little time for relaxing endeavors. I try took to cook real, healthy, meals as much as I can, but speed, quality, value are the focus these days.

Such is life.

Thank god music is compatible with a desk job and much of this life. Schiit, this thread, and the friends made through here is a life saver.

I encourage you to persevere. Life is often hard but good people endure and see the light soon.

When you have worked with tube amps for many years, you develop the respect for and the skills required to safely work with high voltage. We old timers hope that these traits transfer to the younger generations of electronic hobbyists.
Additionally, a number of years working with high power klystron amplifiers with voltages of up to 6 KV and currents in the ampere range made you aware.

I am up for it, I worked with 25kv and higher many a time. Finnegan will be locked in the house, this looks like an outdoor activity. I also worked with high voltage detonation in conjunction with a military base.

This is nothing Sam or I would fear because of our training.

Can one of you OGs educate me a bit?
Schiit Mj3 outputs 1w @ 300ohm. K9 Pro outputs 2.2w @ 300ohm.
If I output w/ K9 as pre-amp into MJ3, how many watts would I get @ 300ohm ?
and
If I output w/ MJ3 as pre-amp into K9 Pro, how many watts would I get @ 300ohm ?
What other advantages/disadvantages/interesting characteristics come from chain-order?

*All this being part of the Tungsten Power Quest I'm on I need to learn the ez way (in my life thats not the normal way i learn. sigh).

A good DAC can play an important part in your system and those speakers will be around.
Thanks.... You may have convinced me to get the Yggy.

If your wife likes the look of the Sonus Fabers that is half the battle if you move on to those later. 😉
