It's Continuity, so it runs cooler than OG Class A. Also Aegir 2 has twice as my output transistors as (my) Aegir 1(s), so... yes. Cooler is good!

When I had the Vidar monoblocks, I was surprised how hot they would get. The Tyrs... lukewarm at best.

just listening to the live '73 dump on Tidal with Roger screaming out Careful With That Axe Eugene during the show in Saratoga. It is incredible how bad it sounds, but how we can still hear most of the music. Some of the other recordings are listenable (eg Rainbow and Austria). There is occasional good playing here, for example, Echoes has a nice Wright Gilmour intro, but the band seems to miss some important transitions in this long piece.

Soft tubes certainly help with these.

Schiit Mj3 outputs 1w @ 300ohm. K9 Pro outputs 2.2w @ 300ohm.
If I output w/ K9 as pre-amp into MJ3, how many watts would I get @ 300ohm ?

Tough call, let your ears be your guide, although I personally prefer keeping it as simple as possible. In my case my Yggy is drectly connected to a Mjolnir 2, My work desktop Bifrost is directly connected to a Valhalla 2. Home desktop Modi MB connected to Tom's Incubus

Oh, yeah, Im with you there- Id love Yggy>>MJ3>> Tungsten . Just need a few confirmations of that working well with my genres and listening levels. Unfortunately the lack of Tungstens in hand out there is still too small to know if that will suffice.

Oh man, I would sooo love to hit the dreaded ATC button for a Yggy. However, I'm tapped due to Kara, Urd, Lokius and a pair of Tyrs at the moment.
I guess I'll have to live with my Cal Audio Labs Alpha (OG) for now.

That is a tough one, my son will inherit my audio gear and sell off what test equipment and parts he can when I am gone.

No need for peer pressure. My thoughts are where to put a new toy in a system, then, do I need to make rearrangements across multiple systems to accommodate the new schiit and if those scenarios can't be resolved, the answer is obvious...start a new schiit system.
