Now it starts with a "102B01" for the MIB
but..but.. you're not using the outputs??! How can you hear anything?

btw, is that the original power cord or an aftermarket one? I've not seen an aftermarket one sold to audiophiles that is so svelte....

I gave you a like, but Pulp Fiction is one of the greatest films ever. Period.
Oh yes, absolutely.
But Jacky Brown is better, yet. Better soundtrack, better story, better cinematography, better acting. Just, well, better all around. Just happens to be the little ba$tard sister to Pulp Fiction. Incredibly tough act to follow. And so people don’t give it much thought, unfortunately.

Pulp Fiction is more quotable, though. That’s indisputable.

Yep! Coffee is life indeed. I also drink another one late morning/early lunch for that afternoon caffeine boost, but I switch it up to the single cup pour over brew at work with a light roast acidic coffee for a different taste palate in my mouth :)

That Panama Geisha piqued my curiosity and now I have some on its way. Can't wait!

Agreed! I have my mate in Kailua-Kona .. drinking Whole Foods coffee until it comes lmao. Helluva friend-perk, that.
My better half tolerates the Whole Foods Brazilian coffee, if that helps.
... Speaking of Kona Beans,...
The tour of the Kona coffee plantation was a highlight of our Hawaiian escapade. Highly recommended.

Nice! Costco has them for $30 for 3 x 12 oz packs. It's a pretty good deal for 3 single origin light roast coffee

Unlike others though I never become a snob and actually enjoy coffee of all kinds. ...
Ditto! I wish I were back in Puerto Rico, or maybe Italy, where everyone you visit gives you a cup of coffee that is either espresso-rich or espresso-adjacent!

I have a soft spot for the Pope's Coffee, btw, because of where it originates.

Single ended use only to Schiit Saga :) Powercord is a Pangea AC-14 SE which is a nicer cable without spending big bucks! I got them for $60 way back in 2016

Yep! I think in Italy you're not supposed to even drink Italian espresso in 1 gulp, and people prefer to take 1 sip and talk for a while before they even finish their cup. It's definitely a fun way to enjoy coffee and socialize at the same time

W/r/t your second question; when comparing one DAC to the other, the songs are still totally recognizable... just different. ...
Lovely post! My most recent experience using a new DAC:
On The Police's Wrapped Around Your Finger, I've been using the bass track to tune various things.
With my new DAC, the bass guitar seemed to flow around the other instruments, kind of as if it were dancing around them. Completely non-objective and "impossible" description, right? The song still sounded "the same."

This hobby will take me to the poor house and bedlam, both.

I was also surprised to find that my Aegir runs substantially cooler than my Vidar. But I was not surprised that it sounds better.

Two things I just can't bring myself to do, listen to bad audio equipment, and drink old, bad coffee. My beans are roasted 2 days before they arrive at the house. I let them sit another 5 days or so then grind precisely 20 grams every time to make 40 grams of espresso at a temp of 94c in about 25 seconds. I mix that with about 5 ounces of steamed milk for a silky smooth and incredibly tasty flat white. I am allowed two of those each morning unless it is the weekend and is raining, then I might be allowed one more. I think my coffee snobbery may be more serious than my audio snobbery. It does however, taste better.

I use one of these.

Those ZMFs are seriously beautiful. Dang.
... sure, but don't forget that amp, Nitsch DSHA-3FN, the recent rebirth of the OG ecp DSHA-3F. Dynamic ZMFs (Verité, Atrium, Auteur) work very, very well with that amp, and I'd expect with that source DAC.

Damn! There's a YGGY A2, Gen 5 USB LIM for sale at a decent price 1.5 hours drive away in Michigan. I just bought the Gumby in December...👀🥺
You can be like @dstrimbu and use the Yggy in the parlour and the Gumby in the den....

I read reports that some DACs cause that. That could be a signal phase processing anomaly…
