Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Jason said before, the chassis is the most expensive item to build, but it contributes nothing to the sound, and it doesn't make any sound at all.
A poorly designed chassis can contribute case resonance. Thankfully we Schiitheads need not worry about that.

I add 4 pieces of thin felt pads against an uneven desk surface, all good. (Schiit chassis is like a tank)

Well my opinions on bourbon should not really be welcomed, I'm but a neophyte on that front. But the answer is that it is fantastic, and markedly smoother than the nice Wyoming bottle I previously thought was great.

I will soon have glasses to go in here....20240217_154300.jpg

Visit Paladin in person, buy him a few drinks plus bring him a bottle of wine, enjoy the music from his tube amps, then carry home the flight board by yourself, good idea, right?

Thanks for sharing the pics!

While beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder, that yellow amp looks like it belongs in a kid's playroom. The 450F surface temps on the 845 (or 211) tubes could be an issue, but it depends on how much you like your kids. 🤣 🤣
I thought it looked to be quite the rich man's taco holder, if it weren't for those pesky tubes in the way.

@Paladin79, this turned out to be an exquisite piece and I am honored for it to be in my possession. Many, many thanks. 😊

These three bottlings have the unique distinction of having spent time inside Kelvin Cooperage barrels - a very high quality barrel maker out of Kentucky with whom we've done business for a long time.

L-R:
Peerless Straight Bourbon Single Barrel Selection store pick at 111.5 proof

Oregon Spirit Distillers Cask Strength Straight Bourbon - a special blend we did a couple years ago with Master Distiller Marianne Eaves at 122.8 proof

Four Gate 'Kelvin Sixty' 8 Year Straight Bourbon crafted specially to celebrate Kelvin Cooperage's 60th anniversary at 125.6 proof

Couldn't think of any finer or more potent way of breaking in this fine piece of woodwork. Cheers, Tom!

Well I would build a nice board for someone who could reciprocate with a highly rated bottle of Tennessee bourbon, namely Peg Leg Porker. 🤪

Oh and on the subject of bourbon and electronic devices. I mentioned Buffalo Trace Bourbon to my wife and suddenly she is getting adds for that brand on Facebook! Just us talking about it was enough.
Yep. That's the surveillance state we live in today. It's enough to make you wanna drink.

Since you caused me to think about the build you are more than welcome to enjoy one. A taco holder on the other hand makes me want to build one and forget that I made it.🤪

That's not an example of a "surveillance state" as it's not the government doing it. It's the unregulated capitalist greed of companies like Meta and amazon actively monetizing everything.
