Same. I had the opportunity to listen to an earlier prototype. Didn't hate the way it sounded with some settings, outright loved it with others. Curious how it sounds with the much larger chokes. A definite purchase for me.

No sir. My Yggdrasil OG DACs USB input is of the USB "B" variety. My computer USB connectivity is of the "A" variety. I have a USB A to B cable that connects from my laptop to my Yggdrasil. So again, Urd is *NOT* the only CD transport with USB output.

and my Cambridge audio cd/dvd /blu ray transport isn't a computer either but does have usb output and input next to its spdif !! must try connecting to Dac at some point to settle the discussion - I will report my findings ?? ( I don't expect it to work however )

By all means, do report back. Why would think it shouldn't work if it has USB out? If it doesn't work then your unit is defective. If it does, yet another reason for @Jason Stoddard to update the website.

I guess your computer has a DVD drive, which would make it a DVD/CD transport. Of course it will play CD's, but a DVD/CD transport is not the same as a CD transport (different requirements, different rule book).

If the chamfers at the vent openings can remain shinny, it would look very nice at black chassis.

It seems that USB-out CD transports are taking off. That product was launched in June.

Not that I would care for that product anyway.
