Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Lovely speakers - I once had a Mission 777 power amp - absolute beast casework and sounded really good - It disappeared with my made to measure Raleigh TI road bike on a house move !!!
Part amplifier and part branding iron!

Sorry to hear about your moving experience ... I've had similar and now self-move electronics / bikes / tools / etc. separate to everything else before the "two random guys in a truck" roll onto the scene - boxes also get labeled mostly as "books" or "old kids toys" to dissuade unwanted peeking :eyes:

Now at 30+ moves in 4 different states and hoping to be done for a while :)

Nice Blower Bentley pic!!!
Thanks, I think that was the year Birkin’s blower car blew up, vindicating W.O.’s opinion on the subject, but I would need to pull my books out to confirm.

Those Bentleys were the world’s fastest trucks, as Ettore Bugatti famously said.

Speaking of tanks...

Wish I had a minty copy of this boot in the collection, since along with all the live tracks there's the Mushroom Tabernacle Choir singing "The Twelve Drugs of Christmas," which I used to find hilarious when I heard it on the Dr. Demento Show.

Drat, my resolution to quit thread-crapping lasted what, three days?

Slightly ashamed, but unrepentant.

That is a good price!
Check the shipping cost though lol, I think it is around $71 or so.
Today I will be working with lace wood and probably canary wood. I also have mesquite and olive wood on the way for future builds. I just looked and if any of you are wanting to build mini speakers I have extra cabinets ready in ambrosia maple and canary wood. I need to find more space.

I am finally back on a project @sam6550a and I started, a little amp that uses EL 34's that goes well with the mini speakers.

They look so great... don't need but want!

How much power do they need?

Those are just extras, I have other woods cut but not glued. Someone the other day asked how I got the circular shape in the top, this shows the end result, I do this with a spindle sander. Local friends who heard them wanted sets in specific types of wood, once completed I will nearly have my new DAC paid for. I have the time and this gives me something to do while my wife is busy making bowls in her pottery studio. (There is a charity event coming up to help feed local people and my wife contributes every year.)

10-12 watts per channel is about right for the mini radials IMHO.

Thanks, now I am working toward contrast for an amp case. This is an early attempt and I have not cut the sides to length so I can cut off any mistakes.

My wife's niece was visiting from Australia recently and she pointed me to this video. Kindred spirits with @bcowen I would think!
